IC Experience Week: A week to experience, explore, and connect

We want to share with our community what the latest edition of IC Experience Week, an initiative designed to open the school’s doors and offer a close-up, authentic glimpse into the Early Years and Primary experience.

Over the course of five days, families from our community and families from outside the community participated in a series of workshops designed to demonstrate, through hands-on experience, how our approach to learning through play, holistic development, and support at every stage.

👩‍🍳 IC Family Kitchen

We're kicking off the week with a cooking experience alongside Santiago Goycochea, chef at Rosemary, IC’s culinary partner.
Children and families shared a space where textures, processes, and teamwork took center stage, developing practical skills while enjoying the process. On this occasion, they made some delicious chipás, which they were able to taste at the end of the activity.

🎶 Little Music Makers

Tuesday was all about music, with an interactive session led by Marcos Marchesoni, a music teacher.
Through rhythm, singing, and sound exploration, the children and their families were able to express themselves, connect, and discover the power of music as a language.

🤸 Little Movers Lab

On Wednesday, the youngest children explored movement in a psychomotor skills workshop led by Inés Platero, a psychologist and psychomotor therapist who is a member of the school’s Student Support Services at the school.
A space designed to help children discover their bodies, their surroundings, and the possibilities of play as the foundation of emotional and cognitive development.

🎨 Messy Art Time

On Thursday, creativity came to life at the Art Space with Carolina Alonso, an art teacher at IC.
Using watercolors, textures, and drawing, each child, together with their parents, created their own visual universe, exploring their imagination and emotional expression without limits.

🧠 Talk: “The Role of an Adult’s Perspective in Children’s Emotional Development”

We’re wrapping up the week with a talk by Agustina Pérez Gomar, a psychologist specializing in childhood and adolescence.
It was an opportunity for families to come together and reflect on the role of adults in children’s emotional development, reinforcing the value of mindful support.

IC Experience Week was, above all, an opportunity to share who we are: a community that learns, connects, and grows together.

We would like to thank all the families who participated and everyone who made this week possible.
