International College (IC) Admissions Process

International College (IC) operates on a rolling admissions basis throughout the year (rolling admissions), which allows students to apply and be considered at any time.

We recommend that families begin the process as soon as they feel IC is the right choice for their child, to ensure a smooth transition into our community.

  1. Initial consultation

Contact us by phone or email, or fill out the consultation so we can learn more about your child and your family.

  1. Campus Tour

We invite families to visit our campus and meet with the Admissions team, as well as teachers and students, to experience our learning environment firsthand.

  1. Application

Please submit the following documents:

  • Admission Form
  • Copies of the student's and parents' identification documents
  • Academic records: final report cards from the last three school years, as well as the report card for the current school year at the time of application (for example, for mid-year enrollment, the first-semester report card will be required)
  • If the student receives educational, therapeutic, or social-emotional support, up-to-date documentation must be submitted, including the most recent psycho-educational report and/or other relevant reports, signed by the treating professionals

For secondary school students coming from abroad (Mercosur or other countries), it is necessary to complete a credit transfer process to have their prior studies recognized and continue within the Uruguayan education system. This process is handled through the General Directorate of Secondary Education (DGES), and our team will assist the family throughout the entire process.

  1. Admission assessments

The Admissions Office will contact you to arrange the necessary steps, which include:

  • Parent Interview
  • Meeting with Student Support Services (SSS) alongside the student

Families who do not currently reside in Punta del Este will undergo a personalized admission process that includes remote components.

  1. Review by the Admissions Committee

Once the documentation and evaluations have been completed, the applicant's file will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.

Applications are reviewed on a weekly basis. After this stage, and once all steps of the process have been completed, the Admissions team will contact you by email with the final decision and next steps.
